Community Outreach
CAS-NCNW makes a difference in the community through the following outreach committees:

Goal: To inform our organization members and the African American community about strategies to prevent and treatment for breast cancer, high blood pressure, cholesterol, heart disease among black women.

Goal: Provide gifts, food, and serving of meals for clients of the Women’s Center
​
Goal: Supports the afterschool program with supplies and other initiatives as requested by the program
​
Goal: Provides gifts, resources, and supplies as directed by the organization. Program – Hearts Luncheon
​
Shirley Sheares A.M.E Empowerment Center
Goal: clothing, blankets, gifts, food, and serving of meals to the men of the shelter.
​
MATCH: Incarcerated Moms and their Children
Goal: Provide support to children of women incarcerated in Wake County. Programs – Visitation Support, Rides, Book Drive
​
Goal: Provide encouraging support through one or two planned events on-site e.g., Mommy and Me for Mother’s Day.
​
Goal: Develop and carry out activities for nursing home residents and seniors in the community. Program – Meals on Wheels
​
Goal: Informs and participates in local legislative affairs that concern Women and families within the community.
​
Goal: Provide financial assistance for community members seeking higher education.
​
